ReplyDeleteI think Holden narrating his own story. The book Catcher in the Rye written in a subjective style from the point of view of Holden Caulfield.He is following his exact thought process. The novel accurately reflected the teenage colloquial speech of the time. Addition to that the book is written with extreme natural language I mean you could realize that the author didn't care about the grammar sometimes I think that's what makes the book so special. When authors begin writing a book they might go over a sentence for hundred times to make it perfect. But in the case of this book the author is just explains everything like his talking to someone face to face in life at that moment.
